Interdisciplinary course in Viking studies

The University of Aarhus are launching a new interdisciplinary course in Viking Studies to take place this November. The course is aimed at Phd students and will focus on the questions of interdisciplinarity/multidisciplinarity in the field of Viking studies and the role it plays in current research projects. PhD students will have the opportunity to present their project or a specific topic of their choice by reflecting upon the use of various sources and the consequent methodological issues. There will be discussions with fellow students acting as opponents and also with senior scholars providing their expertise in a number of disciplines.See the website for more details and the application form, or contact Sarah at marksc@hum.au.dk.
